The Murder Trial Live is written by qualified barristers and is ideal for any undergraduate or postgraduate students who are studying courses in law, criminology, criminal justice and the wider legal sector studies.
THE MURDER TRIAL LIVE is an online Murder Trial where students take part and become the Jury from the comfort of their own home. They will watch a 5-part series of The Black Widow Case online.
Once registered you will find copies of all the evidence presented in the case, have access to watch the episodes as they air or at a time that suits your students and be provided with the opportunity to vote and take part in a live online poll where your students will cast their verdict.
As a lecturer or course leader, your university can purchase a group access package for your students, you can select the number of students you wish to provide access to and keep in contact with them throughout the trial. Set remote learning activities as well as use our online content in the university lecture setting for lectures or seminars. You have full control over choosing the dates in which each episode of The Murder Trial Live is available to watch.

Once purchased, your university will then be given its own unique website where your students can sign up and take part as the Jury.

You have full control of setting the dates as to when each episode is published online. You may want to stagger the dates of each episode to leave time for learning activities in-between.
Watch the case and review the evidence
Each episode comes with downloadable evidence for you to review. Download the evidence and debate the case with other jurors, online, offline or at home.
Catch up on anything you miss using our CATCH-UP player
Never miss an episode. Students can watch at a time that is convenient for them. We will release the episodes on the dates set by you and then they will be available to watch anytime on CATCH-UP.

VOTE in our live poll
The live poll date will be set by you. Once the votes are counted, we will publish the verdict with graphs and data to show the outcome of the trial.
The OUTCOME
The outcome (Guilty, Not Guilty or Discharged) will be revealed online for your students to view on a date set by you after the live poll has been completed.
